Heavenly Father, we come to You today as Your devoted and trusting children. Today, we pray for the generations now and to come who are growing up in the midst of a world that has wandered away from You. We ask that Your reality and truth would surround the children and young people as with a shield. We pray for protection for their hearts, minds, and spirits as the culture wages war against faith in Christ. We ask that You lead them into a saving knowledge of You and a deep desire for relationship with You. We are grateful for the blessing of children and grandchildren. And we entrust them into Your loving care, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Children mirror the behaviors and traits that they see in their caretakers and of those who surround them. More often they reflect actions they observe even more often than words they are told. We must be examples of how to live a godly life and love one another. They are the future of not only our country, but the Body of Christ, the Church.
The Lord Jesus said “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God (Luke 18:16).” We pray for those who are caring for the next generation today and who teach the children and youth at home, in school, in sports, and in church congregations. May they set a godly example in their actions and behavior so that their lives are a witness to the impressionable, developing hearts and minds they touch.

We encourage you to take some time to lift up in prayer each of these Prayer Warriors. Pray that, in spite of the challenges of the world before them, to distract or destroy them, that they would be protected and strengthened to emulate the grace of God as examples to our children and youth. May we all be holy examples, despite our imperfections, of Christ to all.
