Today’s Prayer
Merciful Savior, today we pray for those who currently serve or formerly served on active duty in the United States armed forces. We thank You for their willingness to risk their lives to protect this nation. We pray for healing for those who have been wounded, for both their bodies and their souls to be made whole. We ask You to comfort the families of those who have lost their lives in military service. We pray that You would protect those who are deployed in dangerous regions around the world. May we learn to offer our lives in service to You by the example of the men and women in uniform who are prepared to lay their lives down for their fellow Americans. All this we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
