USAID Funding Deadline

Today is the deadline for President Donald Trump’s administration to comply with a district judge’s temporary restraining order mandating that payments be disbursed to nonprofits who sued the government for freezing all U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funding for administrative review.
The Senate is scheduled to hold the confirmation vote for President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the Department of Labor, Lori Chavez-DeRemer. The Labor Department has not had a Senate-confirmed head since March 2023.
