Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin today in Moscow.

Envoy Witkoff has promoted a 28-point peace plan using a similar template as President Trump’s proposal for Gaza, which has been implemented by Israel and Hamas.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the efforts are not only about ending the war.
“Obviously, that’s essential and fundamental. We want to see the end of the killing and the death and the suffering,” Secretary Rubio said. “They want peace. But it’s also about securing an end to the war that leaves Ukraine sovereign and independent and with an opportunity at real prosperity.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Envoy Witkoff to be led by the Lord as he meets with the Russian president and other high-ranking officials.
- For discernment for President Trump as he continues to pursue peace in Ukraine
- For Secretary Rubio to seek God’s guidance as he heads the diplomatic efforts of the United States.

- He Who Listens
My eyes have seen your salvation that you prepared in the presence of all peoples. – Luke 2:30-31
Simeon spent his life anticipating Christ’s arrival as the Lord had promised. When Simeon was younger, the Lord promised that he would see the Jewish Messiah before he died. Simeon, whose name means “he who listens” in Hebrew, exemplified this through days often spent praying in the temple in Jerusalem. Then one day, Joseph and Mary brought baby Jesus into the temple to present Him as the firstborn to God and for the purification of Mary.
When Simeon saw the infant, he recognized Him as the Messiah. Then he made a prophetic statement about Jesus regarding the purpose of His life. Simeon picked Him up in his arms and said, “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel” (Luke 2:29-32).
Simeon’s words revealed that salvation and truth would be available for the entire world, not just the Jews. Jesus would bring honor to Israel. Simeon continued with a warning that there would be opposition to Jesus in the future and that His suffering would cause personal pain to Mary.
Belief in the Lord’s life, death, and resurrection provides the only way to eternal life. Trust in God’s Word and rejoice in what Christ has done to secure your salvation. Commit to be “one who hears and obeys” His Word. Pray that your local and national public servants place their faith in the Messiah and live in anticipation of His return.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
