QUICK NAVIGATION
- Saturday, March 28
President Donald Trump is hosting a fundraising meeting and dinner at his resort home Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

The House of Representatives majority announced the rejection of a Senate-passed bill that would have funded the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), excluding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and part of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), for the balance of the 2026 fiscal year. The immigration enforcement agencies were already funded through 2029 by last summer’s One Big Beautiful Bill.
Congressional majority leaders stated that they may propose an eight-week stopgap to cover DHS and its agencies so negotiations could continue.

- Godly Fear
Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
Medical science has studied the physiology of fear for a long time and has concluded that living in a chronic state of alarm is a significant obstacle to wellness. Chronic fear amplifies negative situations in your life. It projects a worse outcome for your current state of affairs, rather than a better or hopeful one based on God’s goodness. While concern is a realistic response when observing social unrest or the world in crisis, natural fear becomes destructive when it is misplaced.
God regularly brings His people through circumstances where their faith must be exercised, even stretched. Fear is misdirected when one believes a promise or warning coming from someone other than God. In the beginning, Eve was deceived by accepting the fear that she would miss out on being “wise like God” (Genesis 3:5). She believed the serpent’s words rather than God’s. You have a similar opportunity to choose whose words you will trust in today!
The fear of the Lord is referenced numerous times in the Scriptures (Joshua 4:24; 1 Samuel 12:14; Psalm 22:23; Proverbs 9:10). This is not a scared or worried type of fear, however. It is a reverential, worshipful, humble attitude that recognizes His supremacy! When you have godly fear, you are acknowledging God’s rightful place and character as Creator, Master, and Healer. You give Him the deference and honor due to the Sovereign of the universe, accepting His promises and assurances as truth.
Disease and suffering are real, and you may be experiencing difficult circumstances right now. But take time to check your focus. Have you accepted worldly fear instead of godly fear? Place your faith in Christ and lay your natural apprehensions at His feet. Give Him praise and thanks for His awesome power, which is proven sufficient for all things. Ask God to bless the United States with people of faith in key positions, to form policy and legislation. Anchor yourself on the promises of God alone. Look for a new day in your life and in this country, one flourishing in faith and trust in the One who never leaves you nor forsakes you (Hebrews 13:5).
Today’s Verse: Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it. 8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
