President Donald Trump will be at the 2026 NBA Finals Game 3 between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs tonight at Madison Square Garden.

President Trump said he had accepted an invitation from the Knicks’ owner to attend the game, and suggested he might go to Game 4 as well.
This is the first time a sitting president has attended the NBA Finals. Prior to his involvement in politics, President Trump attended Knicks games semi-regularly over many years as a resident of New York City.

- Begin with You
He is not afraid of bad news, his heart is firm, trusting the Lord. – Psalm 112:7
“Do you want the good news or the bad news?” This question is often asked by those who are trying to make the bad news a little less bad. Though you have a firm foundation when you trust God as sovereign and in control, the negatives of life may at times feel overwhelming. While troubles may require a change of plans, your reliance on the Lord brings you through the trial.
The writer of Psalm 112 offers so many words of encouragement. “Blessed is the one who fears the Lord.” Blessed in so many ways – you will find pleasure, an inner happiness, in obeying God’s Word and following His will in your life (v. 1). In the midst of adversity, God’s light will provide guidance, mercy, and grace (v. 4). The righteous one will have wisdom in managing his affairs (v. 5). This wisdom that comes through your reverence for the Lord carries forward to your dealings with people.
Though it would be easy to get distracted by the ways this country has drifted away from God, continue to focus on putting Him first. Keep your eyes on Jesus as Lord and Savior. While bad news may try to divert your attention, God’s Word is the truth, and it holds the best news. Pray for revival in the hearts of the people, beginning with yourself. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus/Look full in His wonderful face.” Then stand firm in your faith in God.

God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”

the God of Jacob is our fortress. SelahAll Scripture quotations and audio are from the ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), copyright © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. Used by permission. All rights reserved.
