Post Office voices concerns.
In a rare weekend session of the House of Representatives, lawmakers passed a set of new laws targeted at assuring the U.S. Postal Service would be equipped to handle the large influx of absentee votes in the upcoming November election. The bill demanded that USPS halt operational changes that included shutting down mail sorting machines and removing post office drop boxes.
USPS voiced concern over the legislation saying, “We are concerned that some of the requirements of the Bill, while well-meaning, will constrain the ability of the Postal Service to make operational changes that will improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ultimately improve service to the American people.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would lead Congress to pass laws that ensure the integrity of the election.
- For USPS to be guided by the Lord on how best to implement new guidelines being put in place.
- That Postmaster DeJoy would be given strength to do his duty with honor.
