The office within ICE resumes assistance to individuals affected by crimes involving non-citizens.
The Department of Homeland Security announced the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office is being re-established. Created in 2017 under U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the office was discontinued under the previous administration. The reinstatement will provide information, support, and resources to individuals and families impacted by crimes involving illegal aliens.
Homeland Secretary Secretary Kristi Noem stated, “With the re-launching of the VOICE Office, we are giving victims and their families access to resources and support services.”
ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons also emphasized the office’s role in supporting victims and increasing public awareness of crimes involving undocumented individuals. VOICE also connects those affected with local service providers and professionals to ensure access to further assistance.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Director Lyons to be discerning in his oversight of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
- For wisdom for Secretary Noem as she manages the Department of Homeland Security and the agencies within it.
- For U.S. officials as they seek to support U.S. citizens impacted by migrant crimes.
