Today, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are hosting the traditional Easter Egg Roll on the south lawn of the White House.

Of the event’s history, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “The White House Easter Egg Roll officially dates back to 1878 and the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes, but first-hand accounts suggest that informal festivities began with egg-rolling parties under President Abraham Lincoln.“ First Lady Pat Nixon introduced the egg roll races and First Lady Nancy Reagan instituted the custom of the keepsake wooden Easter egg bearing the signatures of the president and first lady.
Today, the justices of the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case that addresses a court of appeals ruling regarding the Health and Human Service Secretary’s supervisory authority of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and its statutory structure.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and first lady as they hold traditional events for the public at the White House.
- For the justices of the Supreme Court to receive God’s wisdom as they hear and rule on cases.
- For the Lord to guide President Trump and his administration officials as they pursue their goals and agenda.
