This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night. – Joshua 1:8
God has been composing a love letter to you since the beginning of time. Oral history passed stories down the generations until writing systems were available to record them in print. Miracles surround the delivery of God’s Word as it has come through time to be recorded and canonized as scripture. Today, you have the results of centuries of work and sacrifice giving you the Holy Bible, a trustworthy and complete book you can enjoy.
If you desire to know what God has to say to you, then study the Scriptures. Before you begin, open your heart and mind in reverent preparation. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth and love in the stories and words you encounter. Devote yourself to listening without preconceived ideas. Be brave when the words lead you into uncomfortable areas. Quietly ponder and meditate on what you encounter.
Commit yourself to deeper spiritual discovery. Pray that America’s decision-makers at the highest levels set aside daily time to study and reflect on God’s word. The Lord has promised that those who seek Him will find Him. As you read, pray, and listen, His word to you will be clear!
Today’s Verse: Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

My son, if you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
4 if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures,
