Apple Plans to Build $500 Billion AI Server Facility in Texas

President Trump had indicated the company would move manufacturing from Mexico to the U.S.

Apple announced that it would invest $500 billion to expand its operations in the United States, hiring 20,000 new employees over the next four years and expanding its facilities across the country.

“From doubling our Advanced Manufacturing Fund, to building advanced technology in Texas, we’re thrilled to expand our support for American manufacturing,” Apple CEO Tim Cook stated. “And we’ll keep working with people and companies across this country to help write an extraordinary new chapter in the history of American innovation.”

The announcement was leaked by President Donald Trump after Apple’s CEO met with him at the White House last week. President Trump spoke at a governors’ meeting shortly after and revealed that Apple would be “investing hundreds of billions of dollars. I hope he’s announced it… that’s what he told me.”
