DHS already retrieved money sent to a luxury hotel in NYC.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Air Force One this past week directing his agencies to track down and halt all federal financial benefits being sent to illegal immigrants.
“My Administration will uphold the rule of law, defend against the waste of hard-earned taxpayer resources, and protect benefits for American citizens in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans,” the president’s order states.
While there is already a federal law from Congress in place preventing the federal government from allocating any financial resources to illegal immigrants, audits by the U.S. DOGE Service have uncovered payments to services supporting those not lawfully in the U.S. The executive order acknowledges that the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 “generally prohibits illegal aliens from obtaining most taxpayer-funded benefits.”
The order aligns with President Trump’s agenda to stop illegal immigration and excess spending.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he seeks to ensure the appropriate use of taxpayer dollars by the federal government.
- For department and agency officials to adhere to the law and the president’s orders to reduce government spending.
