President Donald Trump is welcoming President Emmanuel Macron of France to the White House today.
The two presidents will discuss the negotiations for peace between Russia and Ukraine as well as the need for European nations to increase their commitments to defense.
National Security Advisor Michael Waltz said he learned from Secretary-General Rutte that a third of NATO allies are not meeting the two percent minimum commitment that they made a decade ago.
“The minimum needs to be met. … Europe needs to step up for their own defense as a partner,“ Advisor Waltz said. “We can be friends and allies and have those tough conversations.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he discusses ending the war in Ukraine with President Macron.
- For the two presidents to receive God’s guidance as they evaluate the contributions of European nations to defense.
- For National Security Advisor Waltz to seek the Lord’s direction as he collaborates with counterparts in NATO.
