President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, is meeting with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv. During his visit, he will assess the situation in that nation and gather information from Ukrainian citizens to report back to Washington, D.C.
Envoy Kellogg said, “We understand the need for security guarantees. We understand the importance of the sovereignty of this nation.”
He continued, “A part of my mission is to sit and listen and see what your concerns are, go back to the United States, talk to President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and the rest of the team, just to ensure that we get this one right.”
After President Zelensky expressed opposition to a peace deal without Ukraine’s involvement, Envoy Kellogg said that no one would impose peace “on an elected leader of a sovereign nation.”
