President Donald Trump continues his economic bargaining with trading partners. He recently released his “Fair and Reciprocal Plan” for trade.
President Trump spoke about the reciprocal tariffs, stating that the “world has taken advantage of the U.S. for many years.” The president stated that other countries have been “charging us vastly more than we charge them, but those days are over.”
President Trump concluded, “On trade, I have decided, for purposes of fairness, that I will charge a reciprocal tariff, meaning whatever countries charge the United States of America, we will charge them. No more, no less.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is concluding travel to the Middle East today in the United Arab Emirates. He has discussed advancing regional cooperation, stability, and peace as well as freeing American and all other hostages from Hamas captivity.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to receive God’s direction as he makes economic policy.
- For discernment for members of Congress as they negotiate the federal budget and spending.
- For Secretary of State Rubio to seek the Lord’s guidance as he meets with foreign heads of state.
