President Donald Trump is expected to attend NASCAR’s Daytona 500 today.
During his first presidential term, President Trump served as grand marshal of the event in 2020. He also led the field around the pre-race parade lap, riding in the presidential limo known as “The Beast,” with other pace cars and safety vehicles.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is meeting with officials in Israel to discuss Phase II of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, chair of the Senate Budget Committee, released a government funding resolution this past week. House Speaker Mike Johnson, deep in funding negotiations in the lower chamber, indicated he does not intend to take up the senator’s proposal.
