President Trump Orders Commission to Make America Health Again

He issued the order after the Senate confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as HHS Secretary.

The Senate confirmed Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as the new secretary of the Health and Human Services Department on Thursday. After the confirmation, President Donald Trump issued an executive order for a commission to Make America Healthy Again.

The president stated, “American life expectancy significantly lags behind other developed countries, … Six in 10 Americans have at least one chronic disease, and four in 10 have two or more chronic diseases.  An estimated one in five United States adults lives with a mental illness.“ President Trump highlighted the lack of health in American children, citing the increase in allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases as well as autism.

He stated, “This poses a dire threat to the American people and our way of life. Seventy-seven percent of young adults do not qualify for the military based in large part on their health scores. Ninety percent of the Nation’s $4.5 trillion in annual healthcare expenditures is for people with chronic and mental health conditions. In short, Americans of all ages are becoming sicker, beset by illnesses that our medical system is not addressing effectively. These trends harm us, our economy, and our security.“

President Trump outlined a policy to empower with transparency and data, removing conflicts of interest and getting to the root causes of why Americans are sick. He also addressed food, farming, and lifestyle changes to prevent disease.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Kennedy to be led by the Lord as he oversees the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • For President Trump and members of the administration as they seek to ensure the nation’s food supply is healthy.
