President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan at the White House today. They will discuss the rebuilding of Gaza and other Middle Eastern concerns.
President Trump has suggested that Egypt and Jordan receive displaced Palestinians, since the Gazan region has been devastated by the war between Israel and Hamas. Jordan is already home to millions of Palestinians.
President Trump spoke with King Abdullah a few days after his inauguration. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “President Trump thanked King Abdullah for his longtime friendship, and the two leaders discussed the importance of regional peace, security, and stability.“
