One of her first directives to stop federal funding to sanctuary cities not cooperating with federal immigration enforcement.
The Senate confirmed Pam Bondi Tuesday evening and she was sworn into office Wednesday morning by Associate Justice Clarence Thomas in the Oval Office.
During her confirmation hearing, Bondi said, “My overriding objective is to return the DOJ to its core mission of keeping Americans safe and vigorously prosecuting criminals. That includes getting back to basics — gangs, drugs, terrorists, cartels, our border, and our foreign adversaries.” She also told the senators that the “partisanship, the weaponization” at the Justice Department “will be gone.”
“America will have one tier of justice for all,” she said.
The new attorney general immediately directed the Justice Department to halt all federal funding to sanctuary cities that will not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement and to identify and review all funding to nongovernmental organizations supporting illegal migrants.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Attorney General Bondi to be led by the Lord as she implements policies in the Justice Department.
- For wisdom for the president and members of his administration as they work to remove violent criminal aliens from the U.S.
