The move came after he spoke with President Sheinbaum and Prime Minister Trudeau.
President Donald Trump paused the 25 percent tariffs that were slated to take effect over the weekend after he had separate calls with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He announced a number of changes upon which the leaders reached agreement.
President Trump stated, “It was a very friendly conversation wherein she agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican Soldiers on the Border separating Mexico and the United States. These soldiers will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl, and illegal migrants into our Country.”
After two phone calls with the Canadian prime minister, President Trump announced, “Canada has agreed to ensure we have a secure Northern Border, and to finally end the deadly scourge of drugs like Fentanyl that have been pouring into our Country. Canada will implement their $1.3 Billion Border plan.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his administration as they seek to end illegal immigration and stop the flow of illicit drugs into the nation.
- For wisdom for the president as he bargains with other world leaders.
