The U.S. Army identified the third soldier who died during the deadly midair crash near Reagan Washington National Airport last week, releasing her name on Saturday at the request of her family members.
Captain Rebecca Lobach served as an aviation officer for nearly five years and received several awards for her services, including multiple medals and the Army Service Ribbon.
“Our deepest condolences go out to her family, and all the families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones impacted by this devastating accident,” the Army stated. “We continue to work with the families of our fallen Soldiers and support the ongoing investigations.”
The captain’s family had requested her name be withheld when the other two soldiers were released on Friday. They were identified as Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Eaves from Maryland and Staff Sergeant Ryan O’Hara from Georgia.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God’s comfort for the families and loved ones of those who died in the collision last week.
- For federal investigators as they gather evidence and seek to identify the causes that contributed to the crash.
