Today, President Donald Trump’s tariffs are set to begin on goods imported into the United States from Mexico and Canada.

The president has said he will impose 25 percent tariffs to pressure our neighboring countries to halt the flow of fentanyl and immigrants across their respective borders into the U.S.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly this week. Canada has begun to address the fentanyl issue, with a strike force with helicopters, drones, and canine teams to prevent drug traffickers.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to be prudent in his use of tariffs to advance national security.
  • For the secretary of state as he meets with foreign officials to discuss energy and security.
  • For U.S. legislators as they deliberate federal spending and the national debt.
