Ecclesiastes 3:1 – For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
The world has seen many changes since the outbreak of COVID-19, but perhaps one of the most frustrating parts has been the interruption to people’s plans. So many plans have been altered, cancelled, or rearranged since March, sometimes it feels almost impossible to keep track of what is still happening and what is not.
Has the inability to plan made you anxious or frustrated? Do you feel like you are out of control? Rest assured, that although it seems as though everything is in “limbo” right now, God is still in control and still carrying out His plan.
King Solomon reminds you of this fact in Ecclesiastes 3. There is a time for everything – a time to break down and to build up; a time to weep and to laugh; and even a time to embrace and to refrain from embracing. God has a plan for everything, including COVID-19. Take heart! Trust in God’s timing and rest in the fact that although life feels chaotic and out-of-control, God’s plan is happening exactly as it should be. There will be a time to embrace, to rebuild, and to laugh again!
Pray With Us
All-knowing Heavenly Father, life feels out of control right now. But I know that You were not surprised by this pandemic and that this has been Your plan from the very beginning. Thank You for loving me and for continuing to care for me. Help me to trust in Your plan and rely less on my own. Keep me from being frustrated when things don’t go as I expect. Teach me to place my hope in You, rather than my plans. I praise You, knowing that this season will not last forever.
Amen.
