Chair Comer says the DHS failed to provide information on a serious national security threat.
This week, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Senior Advisor Jacob Marx of the Office of Legislative Affairs in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to testify on the alleged ties between Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The House committee had previously requested that Marx hand over “documents and communications regarding Gov. Walz’s connections with the CCP,” but alleges the DHS has not produced “responsive documents… substantive information, nor any assurance that substantive information would be forthcoming.”
“This is a serious national security threat and DHS’s failure to provide this Committee information on Governor Walz’s extensive ties to the CCP and their unwillingness to cooperate with this investigation in good faith is completely inexcusable,” said committee chair Representative James Comer.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Chair Comer and members of the committee as they seek to determine the risks to national security due to Governor Walz’s connections to the CCP.
- For Advisor Marx as he responds to the committee’s request for information and the subpoena to testify.
