The State Department announced the activation of the U.S.-Dominican Republic Air Transport Agreement.
The department explained that the agreement “establishes a modern civil aviation relationship with the Dominican Republic consistent with U.S. Open Skies international aviation policy and with commitments to high standards of aviation safety and security.“
The State Department added, “With this agreement, air carriers can provide more affordable, convenient, and efficient air services to travelers and shippers, which in turn spurs high quality job creation and economic growth.“
