The Department of Energy announced funding to support the domestic manufacturing of next-generation batteries
Energy Secretary Granholm said that the $25 million in funding for 11 projects would enhance national security and provide more American jobs.
The Energy Department explained, “Batteries are critical for the next–generation technologies that will enhance energy affordability and increase America’s overall energy security and independence.“
