Saturday, December 14

President Joe Biden designated a presidential delegation to attend the 80th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of the Bulge in Luxembourg yesterday and today. The president chose NASA Administrator Bill Nelson to lead the delegation of diplomats and administration officials.

This week President Biden set a record by commuting the sentences of 1,499 people under home confinement due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions at the time of their sentencing. The same day, the president also pardoned 39 people who were either convicted or pled guilty to non-violent offenses. The most pardons previously issued in a single day was 330 by President Obama at the end of his second term.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president as he continues to consider clemency petitions in the coming weeks.
  • For members of Congress as they seek to determine how they will fund the federal government into the new year.
  • For the justices of the Supreme Court to seek God’s guidance as they hear cases and consider appeals.
