U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is addressing the 17 National Laboratories today. She will deliver remarks “from Ames National Laboratory reflecting on the accomplishments from the past four years and thanking Lab staff for their work.“
The House Committee on Rules, chaired by Representative Michael Burgess of Texas, is meeting to review the Midnight Rules Relief Act.
The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, submitted the legislation that would amend the U.S. code to allow for en bloc consideration in resolutions of disapproval for “midnight rules,“ that is, rules that are made in the final year of a president’s term.
