The men had poised as Amazon drivers to gain access to Marine base.
The U.S. Department of Justice has dismissed the case against two Jordanian men who sought access to Marine base Quantico, pretending to be Amazon delivery drivers, back in the spring. The two had been charged with misdemeanor trespassing and potential terror after ramming a vehicle through the base gate.
Quantico is the headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s training academy, as well as criminal investigative agencies for the military.
The Justice Department had stated the two men had “unlawfully go[ne] upon a military installation for a purpose prohibited by law, to wit: knowingly and intentionally entering Marine Corps Base Quantico.”
The men were ordered “not further trespass on Marine Corps Base Quantico or any other military installation,” and to appear “for all future court appearances“ as a condition of their release. They also have pending immigration hearings.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Attorney General Merrick Garland to receive God’s guidance as he heads the DOJ.
- For Justice Department officials as they evaluate the cases they will pursue and prosecute.
