The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, issued an alert on Wednesday and temporarily closed down. The embassy stated they had “specific information of a potential significant air attack.“
The embassy statement said further, “The U.S. Embassy recommends U.S. citizens be prepared to immediately shelter in the event an air alert is announced.“ A State Department spokesman said the embassy would reopen and resume normal operations on Thursday.
