USDA Invests $256 Million into 1,100 Clean Energy Projects

40 states receive funding through the Rural Energy for America Program.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has distributed the 2024 awards from the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), investing over $256 million into 1,100 clean energy projects in 40 states. The funding goes to food producer companies and covers a variety of facility improvements, including roof-mounted solar panels, water-efficient irrigation systems, and anaerobic digesters to convert biomethane from cow manure into natural gas.

“The Biden-Harris Administration and USDA are ensuring farmers, small business owners and rural communities have the resources they need for the future,” USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said. “The investments I’m announcing today will help rural communities lead our country toward an economy that benefits working people everywhere with lower costs and clean energy jobs.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Vilsack and USDA officials as they promote and fund clean energy projects.
  • For wisdom for the president and his Cabinet members as they pursue the administration’s agenda.
