FTC Refunds Consumers for Deceptive Alcohol-Craving Supplement Claims

Purchasers of Sobrenix receive compensation after FTC addresses unsubstantiated health claims.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is issuing more than $536,000 in refunds to consumers who purchased Sobrenix, a supplement sold by Rejuvica Health, which falsely claimed to reduce or eliminate alcohol cravings.

According to a July 2023 FTC complaint, Rejuvica and its owners promoted the supplement using deceptive advertising, including paid endorsements and fake review sites designed to appear credible but were secretly controlled by the company. The misleading tactics made buyers think the product was effective.

The FTC emphasizes that recipients are not required to pay any fees or provide financial information to receive their compensation. The agency is mailing checks to 56,686 consumers, who are advised to cash them within 90 days.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For commissioners of the FTC as they seek to ensure the validity of businesses’ claims.
  • For wisdom for Chair Lina Khan as she heads the Federal Trade Commission.
