Tuesday, November 26

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are traveling to Nantucket, Massachusetts, where they will spend the Thanksgiving holiday.

President Biden has extended the national emergency regarding Nicaragua that was first declared in November 2018.

He wrote to the president of the Senate and the speaker of the House, “The situation in Nicaragua, including the violent response by the Government of Nicaragua to the protests that began on April 18, 2018, and the Ortega-Murillo regime’s continued systematic dismantling and undermining of democratic institutions and the rule of law, its use of indiscriminate violence and repressive tactics against civilians, as well as its corruption leading to the destabilization of Nicaragua’s economy, continues to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden and his advisors as they review and extend national emergency declarations
  • For safe travels for the president and first lady as they head to Nantucket.
  • For discernment for members of the current administration as they make decisions in the remaining weeks of this term.
