The State Department announced that Special Advisor on International Disability Rights (SAIDR) Sara Minkara is traveling to Bogotá, Colombia, today. She will meet with government officials, business leaders, and civil society.

Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “Her discussions will focus on disability rights and disability inclusion across all sectors, particularly law enforcement.“

He continued, “During her trip, SAIDR Minkara will meet members of the Colombian Congress, representatives from U.S. Department of State alumni programs, and disability rights advocates. SAIDR Minkara will reinforce the role of the United States as the partner of choice for promoting greater economic and social participation for persons with disabilities in the region.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That Special Advisor Minkara would be led by the Lord in her advocating for disability rights.
  • For Secretary Blinken to be discerning as he heads diplomatic efforts in the final months of this term.
  • For the president, vice president, and Cabinet officials as they address issues facing the nation.
