Issue 672 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The U.S. Army is studying how to employ electronic warfare (EW) at the division level. A series of events are being held to determine how EW can be integrated and with which platforms. The Cyber Capability Integration Directorate will complete an assessment over the coming year.

Pray for U.S. military leaders as they review and assess the role of electronic warfare in combat.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

The Pentagon reported that 10,000 North Korean troops are in Kursk Oblast in Russia. Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder said, “Should these troops engage in combat support operations against Ukraine, they would become legitimate military targets.“

Pray for wisdom for U.S. and allied nations as they advise Ukrainian leaders and provide support.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered additional destroyers, fighter squadron, and tanker aircraft, and bombers to the Middle East. The Pentagon said the move is “in keeping with our commitments to the protection of U.S. citizens and forces in the Middle East, the defense of Israel, and de-escalation through deterrence and diplomacy.“

Pray for Pentagon officials and the defense secretary as they determine where to deploy the U.S. military.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advisory panel recommended that those aged 65 or older should receive a second dose of the updated COVID-19 vaccine. Despite the coronavirus case numbers decreasing to their lowest levels since the summer, the CDC encourages the shot for seniors and those with compromised immune systems.

Pray for Director Cohen and CDC officials as they track the status of COVID in the nation.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey’s office reported that 1,700 grams of fentanyl have been seized under Operation Free, an initiative to reduce narcotics in the state. Governor Ivey said, “The fentanyl epidemic in America is one of our gravest threats, and we are doing all we can in Alabama to battle it and protect our citizens.”

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has called a special session of the legislature to overhaul the state’s tax system. The governor seeks to attract more residents and visitors to the state, which one legislator said is “48th in almost every category“ for tax rates.

Pray for governors and state legislators as they work to address the issues that concern their states.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“Do you know that our Christian life should be a celebration every day? We need to celebrate what God has done for us. And because of Him dying on the cross, we have the free choice to accept Him as our Savior so we can live with Him for eternity. It is true that we face many trials and tribulations on this earth. But that should not get us down because Jesus is walking with us through those trials.
Not only that, but we have a future up ahead where we can live with Him. And He is preparing a place for us that we can’t even imagine. Are you living each day where you are celebrating what Jesus has done for you in your life?“ Michelle Ankerberg, A Moment with Michelle, November 2024
