He says, “America and Germany are the two largest supporters of Ukraine.“
President Joe Biden made a very quick trip to Berlin, Germany, having rescheduled the visit from the week before due to Hurricane Milton. He left on Thursday and met with European leaders on Friday before heading back to Washington. President Biden discussed support for Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
While there, President Biden stated, “America and Germany are the two largest supporters of Ukraine in its fight for survival as a free and independent nation. As Ukraine faces a tough winter, we must — we must sustain our resolve, our effort, and our support.“
He continued, “The [German] chancellor and I are going to discuss ongoing efforts to surge support to Ukraine’s military; to shore up Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure, which is under constant assault and bombardment from Russia; and to help Ukraine recover by unlocking the value of frozen Russian assets.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the president and members of his administration as they continue to provide support to Ukraine.
- For U.S. officials who seek to bring a peaceful end to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
