Praying for Our Leaders in Government
Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration
The Department of Justice sued the Virginia election officials for efforts to remove voter registrations from noncitizens. The lawsuit claims the election commissioner violated the National Voter Registration Act, which prohibits the removal of ineligible voters within 90 days of a federal election.
Pray for Attorney General Garland and DOJ officials as they endeavor to enforce federal voting laws.
Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress
This week, Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky released recordings of officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who acknowledged in 2020 that Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine Phase 3 trial data the agency has published was false. The congressman’s disclosure also revealed that the CDC has continued to use this incorrect data regarding the efficacy of vaccines for people with prior infection.
Pray for U.S. legislators as they work to ensure federal agencies provide accurate and factual information to Congress and the American public.
PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES
The House Judiciary Committee held a private deposition of former Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade on Capitol Hill this week. The committee has sought information on the former special prosecutor’s relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who brought charges against former President Trump for his actions related to Georgia’s results in the 2020 election. Committee Chair Jordan is concerned about the possibility of U.S. tax dollars being spent on the pair’s relationship during the investigation of Trump.
Pray for the members of congressional committees as they seek to ensure American tax dollars are utilized in accordance with appropriations.
Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges
The Supreme Court will decide whether or not a truck driver can sue a CBD company under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act for lost wages after he failed a drug test and lost his job. The company advertised its product as being free of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
Pray for the Supreme Court justices to be led by God in their deliberations and opinions.
