Sunday, October 13

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) provided an update on the activation of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Emergency Support. The ATF stated, “The federal government’s disaster response includes 15 Emergency Support Functions [ESF].”

The ESF law enforcement teams “provide federal public safety and security assistance in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.” Force protection is also being provided for FEMA urban search and rescue teams and public health and medical services missions.

The teams include officials from the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Prisons, Customs and Border Patrol, Coast Guard Investigative Service, Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Air Marshalls, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Administration, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For ATF Director Steven Dettelbach as he coordinates support for FEMA during the hurricane recovery and relief efforts.
  • That God would strengthen all who are working on rescue and cleanup after Helene and Milton.
  • For wisdom for the president, vice president, and administration officials as they evaluate and provide federal resources.
