Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins and Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Deterrence, and Stability Mallory Stewart are in Warsaw, Poland, today.

The under secretary and assistant secretary are participating in the 19th NATO Conference on Weapons of Mass Destruction Arms Control, Disarmament, and Non-Proliferation.

State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “While in Warsaw, the Under Secretary will reiterate the importance of utilizing all tools of arms control and risk reduction to address our current security environment and attend an arms control and deterrence side event hosted by the Polish Institute of International Affairs.“

Assistant Secretary Stewart also participated in the Warsaw Security Forum.
