The Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Management Director Patrick Johnson hosted several representatives from Indonesia for a discussion on cyber workforce development strategies. Director Johnson says recruitment and retention issues are impacting many organizations within the technology sector.
“In the cyber domain, the talent shortage is global,” he said, adding that every country has information technology infrastructure that must be defended.
“I think we need to take it seriously [and] take that opportunity to talk to smart people from outside our own little sphere,” Director Johnson added. “The world has a lot to offer.”
