The United Nations “Summit of the Future” begins today.
The focus will be “to reaffirm commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the United Nations Charter.“ The goal is to negotiate a Pact for the Future on global cooperation. International leaders will hold bilateral meetings ahead of the General Assembly session that begins tomorrow.
President Joe Biden will remain at the White House to welcome the president of the United Arab Emirates on Monday. The president will be addressing the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
