President Joe Biden is hosting Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom at the White House today. This is the second meeting between the two leaders since the UK prime minister was elected this summer.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated they “will have an in-depth discussion on a range of global issues of mutual interest, including continuing robust support to Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, securing a hostage release and ceasefire deal to end the war in Gaza, protecting international shipping in the Red Sea from Iranian-backed Houthi threats, and advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific.“

Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell is in Iceland today. He began the trip earlier this week with travel to Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania.

State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “In Iceland, the Deputy Secretary will meet with senior Icelandic government and legislative officials and lead a high-level U.S. delegation to consult with Iceland on the Indo-Pacific region.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden and Prime Minister Starmer to be led by God in their conversations.
  • For Deputy Secretary Campbell to seek God’s guidance as he meets with Lithuanian and Icelandic leaders.
  • For discernment for the president, vice president, and secretary of state as they seek partnerships regarding the Indo-Pacific.
