When your truth and my truth differ, trust is lost.
John 17:17 – Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth.
By now, you have probably heard the term “cancel culture.” When it began showing up, it often referred to boycotting a celebrity or someone who spoke or acted in a controversial manner, as a way to diminish them and their positions. But like a disease more infectious that the coronavirus, it has spread across many other aspects of America, involving how cities govern, how criminals are charge (or bailed out), how policing is to be done. Its mass has passed a critical point, and many Americans are finding themselves trapped in an increasingly deranged state that eliminates one of our most essential inter-actions—trust.
Many in the administration segments of social media have taken up the cancel culture, only their efforts are centered on what they deem to be true and not true. By passing on some information as truth and denying others, they have set themselves as the ultimate arbiters of social engineering. You will receive the diet of information they want you to have, and nothing else. They call it “fact-checking.”
Be disturbed but do not be distracted. There is an alleged plan behind their efforts that they themselves might not be fully aware of. Remember who it is who first set out to deceive, the one whom Jesus called “a liar from the beginning” (John 8:44). Run what is being said through the filter of God’s Word. If it is out of alignment, discard it.

I bless Your Name.
Amen.
