Today, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee’s Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce, chaired by Representative Pete Sessions of Texas, is holding a field hearing in Lahaina, Hawaii.
The subcommittee is assessing the federal government’s response to the 2023 wildfires in Maui.
They will hear testimony from a FEMA Regional Administrator, a commander from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, an official from the Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience, an EPA regional administrator, and state and local leaders.
