USDA Provides $99 Million to Biofuel Producers

The department continues investing in developing agricultural and economic sector

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that 160 biofuel projects in 26 states will be receiving a total of $99.6 million to expand their operations. Biofuel producers grow soybeans, corn, and other vegetation to turn into ethanol and biodiesel, fuel sources able to power many American vehicles. Many of the projects chosen to receive this funding will use it to install above-ground fuel tanks and local fueling stations to increase fuel production and access.

“By expanding access to homegrown biofuels and clean energy systems, we are strengthening our energy independence, addressing the impacts of climate change and creating new market opportunities and revenue streams for American producers while bringing good-paying jobs in rural communities,” Secretary Vilsack said during his visit to the University of Minnesota.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Vilsack to be led by the Lord as he heads the USDA.
  • For USDA officials as they support biofuel development and production.
