Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose Fernandez is on travel to Argentina, Ecuador, and Peru.

State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said the under secretary will “engage key partners in the Western Hemisphere on critical minerals supply chains and developments in the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity, and to promote trade and economic opportunities with the United States.“

Today, Under Secretary Fernandez will deliver opening remarks at the 10th AmeriGEO conference hosted by Ecuador’s National Secretariat for Risk Management and Geographic Military Institute and co-host a roundtable discussion with U.S. Ambassador to Ecuador Art Brown.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Under Secretary Fernandez to seek God’s wisdom as he engages foreign ministers regarding economic opportunities.
  • For U.S. ambassadors and diplomats to be prudent as they represent our nation in other countries.
  • For the president, vice president, and members of the administration as they assess the economic partnership potential in the Western Hemisphere.
