The House Committee on Natural Resources, chaired by Representative Bruce Westerman of Arkansas, is holding a field hearing in Thibodaux, Louisiana, entitled “Rigs to Restoration: Examining Gulf Coast Restoration through Energy Production and Permitting.”
The committee will examine Louisiana’s experience in coastal restoration, including the obstacles presented by the permitting process, and the relationship between energy production and environmental protection.
