Day 1 – Our Banner
Reflect on the significance of our national flag, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
- Pray for unity among Americans.
- Pray for resilience in our own minds as we face trials and difficulties.
- Pray that America might be restored to the values that it was founded upon.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
Day 2 – Our Blessings
Give thanks for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon our nation.
- Pray for the president, administration officials, and members of Congress to steward the nation’s resources with wisdom.
- Pray for peace and prosperity for all Americans.
- Pray for judges and justices in the federal judiciary to uphold the law with impartiality.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! Psalm 33:12
July 3 – Our Freedoms
We honor the sacrifices made by those who fight for and protect our nation.
Our highest freedom comes from Jesus’ gift on the cross.
- Pray for the continued protection of our freedoms.
- Pray for the safety of U.S. military commanders, active-duty personnel, Reservists, and members of the National Guard as they serve.
- Pray for governing officials at the federal, state, and local levels to have the conviction and integrity to stand up for the rights of American citizens.
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. 1 Peter 2:16
July 4 – Our Independence
Commemorate Independence Day.
Reflect on the courage of our founding fathers and their vision for a free nation.
- Pray for wisdom in preserving our independence.
- Pray for our leaders to have clear vision and sober minds as they lead.
- Pray for God to reveal His plan for our lives so that we may best serve Him.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. Isaiah 61:1
July 5 – Our Home
We are blessed by the providence of God to call America our home.
- Pray for the well-being of the United States, its people, and the land itself.
- Pray for the Lord’s guidance so we can be better stewards of our country and lights to the world.
- Pray for God’s mercy and goodness to rest upon this great nation.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13
