Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently said that, despite the State Department’s broad implementation of artificial intelligence, technology is “not a substitute“ for the work of humans. He said that AI is a complement that “makes us more effective.“
Pray for discernment for federal agency officials as they determine how and how much to use artificial intelligence technology.
Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress
Senate leadership has received a letter from 20 state attorneys general urging support for the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act (ICC Act). The legislation seeks to protect American civil and military officials from being prosecuted unlawfully by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The House of Representatives has already passed a companion resolution.
Pray for Senate members as they deliberate the legislation to shield Americans from the international court.
PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES
A House Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions, chaired by Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer of Missouri, recently heard testimony from the president of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. on its role in intensifying economic competition with China.
Pray for the chairs and members of Congressional committees as they seek to strengthen the nation’s economic competition with China.
Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges
Northern District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk turned down a request from the president’s administration to dismiss the suit brought against it by victims of Palestinian terrorism. The judge ruled that, though Congress had blocked funding for aid groups in Gaza, the administration continued to send taxpayer funds.
Pray for district and circuit court judges as they hear and rule on questions of federal branch jurisdiction and authority.
