CENTCOM deputy commander said deliveries had been “suspended due to the kinetic operations happening in the north.”
The Department of Defense announced that over 10 metric tons of humanitarian aid were dropped by a U.S. cargo plane into northern Gaza over the weekend. The deliveries resumed after a pause due to Israeli Defense Force operations and weather.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the airdrop provided “life-saving humanitarian assistance in northern Gaza” and that “the U.S. has airdropped more than 1,050 metric tons of humanitarian assistance.”
CENTCOM continued, “These airdrops are part of a sustained effort, and we continue to plan follow-on aerial deliveries.”
