Today, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink is in Hanoi, Vietnam.
State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said the assistant secretary is meeting “with senior Vietnam government officials to underscore the strong U.S. commitment to implementing the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and to working with Vietnam in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.“
He stated that the assistant secretary will “reaffirm the United States’ support for a strong, independent, resilient, and prosperous Vietnam,“ and “discuss shared objectives for next month’s ASEAN-related ministerial meetings, which will take place in Vientiane, Lao PDR.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink to seek God’s guidance as he engages the leaders and diplomats of Vietnam.
- For Secretary Blinken and U.S. diplomats as they represent the nation and interact with foreign heads of state.
- For the president and his administration officials to be led by the Lord in determining foreign policy.
