Today, President Joe Biden will be meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg as the U.S. prepares to host a NATO summit in Washington, D.C., next month.
They will discuss the current status of the war in Ukraine and the support that NATO members are proposing to offer Ukraine as it fights Russia. They will go over the specifics of a NATO plan to provide long-term security support and military training to Ukraine.
After a recent meeting of NATO defense ministers in Belgium, the secretary general visited Budapest, Hungary, where he secured a promise from Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that Hungary would not veto the support plan as long as his country did not have to participate.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For leaders of NATO countries to be prudent in their commitments to Ukraine.
- For the president and secretary general as they discuss the security and support plan.
- For the Lord to accomplish His purposes and will in the United States and its federal government.
